 Job Title: Salon Manager

Description: Angels House of Styles, Inc. is seeking a salon manager for  our team. The salon manager's responsibilities include ensuring the  day-to-day operations of the salon, managing and recruiting staff,  ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and managing business  objectives. The ideal candidate has strong business acumen, proven  leadership skills, and a passion for the beauty industry.

Salon Manager Duties:

■ Supervise a team of 9- 13 salon team members.

■ Oversee daily salon operations, including inventory, payment processing, and opening and closing procedures.

■ Recruit and train new salon staff.

■ Conduct professional coaching, regular staff meetings, and performance evaluations for staff.

■ Enforce salon policies and procedures to maintain standards of cleanliness and professionalism.

■ Coordinate working schedules, PTO, and staffing levels.

■ Work with vendors and suppliers to maintain relationships and negotiate pricing.

■ Manage client communications, including  monitoring customer service metrics, responding to customer feedback,  and ensuring a positive customer experience.

■ Develop marketing initiatives, promotions, and salon service offerings to align with industry trends.

■ Complete bookkeeping tasks such as budgeting and managing financial records.

■ Manage client appointments, including scheduling, confirming, rescheduling, and handling cancellations.

■ Set sales targets and coordinate with the team to meet sales goals.

■ Ensure compliance of locally required health and safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

■ A high school diploma or GED, and are at least 18 years of age

■ 3 years of salon industry experience

■ 3 years of management experience in a customer-focused field or relevant business

■ Proficiency in scheduling software, POS systems, and other relevant salon management software

■ In-depth knowledge of salon operations, inventory management, salon staff management, and customer service

■ Up-to-date knowledge of beauty trends and products

■ Excellent communication and customer service skills

■ Strong time-management skills

■ Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills

■ Undergraduate degree is preferred

■ Previous experience as a salon manager is preferred but not required

A salon assistant, often times a graduate of cosmetology, or barbering school, is an employee or team member who s looking for more salon experience and learning opportunities. Assistants help out around the salon with various tasks that include and are not limited to:

• Helping with color formulation
• Shampooing and conditioning clients
• Blow drying clients
• Sleeping salon floor
• Cleaning and maintaining salons appearance
• Helping prepare clients for service
• Ensuring clients are comfortable offering beverages and something to read

Required Qualifications:

■ A high school diploma or GED, and are at least 18 years of age

■ Excellent communication and customer service skills

■ Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills

■ Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions

■ Basic computer skills and familiarity with [salon appointment software] is preferred

A shampoo technician is a role that is sometimes separated from that of a hair stylist or assistant and can be found in beauty salons day spas and general hair salon. The shampoo technician is responsible for:

• Massaging client scout during shampoos
• Ensuring the shampoo areas are kept clean and are stocked with towels and products
• Rinsing the shampoo bowls after shampoos, especially when Vincent color from client's hair
• Employee active listening skill to determine clients hair and skin care needs

■ State license from a state-approved hair styling, beautician, or cosmetology school in accordance with local regulations in hair salon or out of their own home. Hairstylists specialize in providing a multitude of hair services to their clients and need proper schooling and license to do so. Their responsibilities include:

• Men's, Women's and children's haircuts and styles
• Watching, blow drying and styling clients hair
• Curling and straightening clients hair
• Selling hair products to clients
• Maintaining personal hair station, including sweeping up hair
• Talking and building relationships with their clients
• Employee active listening skill to determine clients here and service need

Required Qualifications:

■ State license from a state-approved hair styling, beautician, or cosmetology school in accordance with local regulations

■ A high school diploma or GED, and are at least 18 years of age

■ 2 years of experience as a stylist or in a similar role

■ Communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills to effectively engage with clients

■ Excellent technical skills in cutting, styling, and coloring hair, including knowledge of different hair textures and types

■ Proficient in using a hairdressing tools and salon equipment

■ Experience with various hair care products and treatments

■ Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions

■ Creativity and artistic flair as well as up-to-date knowledge of hair-care trends

■ Time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple client appointments

A barber is the stylist of a barber shop and provides various hair services to men. Some barbers manage and run their own Barber shop, while others work under management with other barbers and team members. The responsibilities of a barber include:

• Cutting, shaping and trimming men's hair
• Shades and grooms men's facial hair
• Takes care of personal workstation and tools
• Order supplies and sells products to their clients

Required Qualifications:

■ State licensure from a state-approved hair styling, beautician, or cosmetology school in accordance with local regulations

Job Title: Nail Technician

The nail technician  should provide excellent customer care, including manicures, pedicures,  and nail art. The ideal candidate has the required certifications and an  excellent track record in client care.

Job Duties:

■ Perform a variety of nail care services, including manicures, pedicures, gel polish applications, acrylics, and nail art.

■ Provide hand and foot massages to promote relaxation.

■ Upsell products or add-on services based on clients' preferences and nail care routines.

■ Communicate effectively with clients, explaining the procedures, techniques, and follow-up self-care for nails.

■ Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation  of spa area, equipment, and supplies, including properly sterilizing  tools, according to all state, local, and company standards.

Massage Therapist Duties:

■ Perform various massage therapy  services, such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, and hot stone  massages, based on clients' needs and preferences.

■Prioritize client health by conducting  client consultations to assess their medical history, conditions, and  desired outcomes and customizing sessions to address concerns.

■ Create a comfortable environment for clients, including proper lighting, temperature, and music.

■ Use appropriate massage oils, lotions, and tools to enhance the massage experience and achieve desired results.
